Learn effective yoga practices to help people sleep better: together we can reverse the rising tide of insomnia that has swept through our culture.
You’ll gain the knowledge and practices that will enable you to teach Sleep Recovery yoga classes, courses and one-to-ones to help relieve insomnia and help people get their best possible sleep.
The Sleep Recovery 5 Steps are specific and holistic: including simple asana, pranayama, meditation, mantra, marma points that are accessible to all.
You’ll also learn how to consult with students and clients to discover their Sleep Type, and promote healthier sleep habits, getting to the roots of their sleeplessness. You’ll assess and address the 5 layers of the physical, energetic, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of Sleep Recovery.
Lisa Sanfilippo (MA, MSc, BSc), a senior yoga teacher and qualified psychotherapist, pioneered yoga for Sleep Recovery and the five-layered method, teaching this approach widely for more than a decade. She trains professionals (yoga teachers, therapists and health providers) with Yogacampus, and previously with the Minded Institute. Lisa teaches on both the Triyoga Teacher Training Course and Yogacampus Yoga Therapy Diploma in London. Her two books are: Yoga Therapy for Insomnia and Sleep Recovery (Singing Dragon, 2019) and Sleep Recovery (Bloomsbury, 2020) and she co-authored the Insomnia chapter, with Dr Sat Bir Khalsa, in Yoga for Mental Health (K. Birch & H. Mason, Handspring, 2018) and maintains a private therapy practice clinic in London.
Lisa aims to teach in an interactive, engaging, and lighthearted way, to inspire you to learn deeply and serve others with clarity, passion and compassion.
