Introducing Charles, a student at Urban OM Studio Stockholm. His journey with Urban OM’s 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training has been an enlightening experience on multiple levels, doing the best yoga of his life whilst discovering new areas of spirituality and culture with like-minded people.

“I’m a student currently in the 200 hour yoga teacher training at Urban OM.

I signed up for this for a very simple reason:

I wanted to get a lot more yoga into my life, and make sure that I was doing it seriously.

So when I started doing some research and I found this programme that was in Stockholm, in English, in person it ticked all the boxes for me.

Looking into it a little more, the teachers seem to be very professional, very serious and very dedicated to the art of yoga.

It’s been a couple of months now since we started, and the journey’s been really interesting.

My expectation was that we were going to do a lot of yoga.

Actually we’re doing yes a lot of yoga. But we’re doing really good yoga.

We’re doing yoga better than I’ve ever done before… with an opportunity to try flavours of yoga that I’ve never really been attracted to, but just for the sake of learning…

And beyond just doing poses and repeating poses there’s a spiritual and cultural aspect to it that was surprising to me, but that’s really interesting.

It’s not something that I expected to latch on to. But there’s so much sincerity in the teachers, that it really does capture my attention, and makes me want to learn more.

The last thing that I’ll say is it’s been really great to be in this group of people with a shared interest in yoga and a shared kind of commitment to doing it better here in Stockholm.
